Serving in the Norwegian armed forces, Kjetil spent extensive periods stationed in tents amidst the rugged landscapes of northern Norway, where he honed his survival skills and developed a profound appreciation for the wilderness. It was during these formative years that his passion for the outdoors was ignited, laying the foundation for his future endeavours.

Drawing upon ancient techniques used by indigenous peoples to thrive in harsh climates, he meticulously designed the Lavvo and the Gamme—two iconic structures that marry form and function with unparalleled elegance.
