Where are our customers going? (Updated Feb 2012)
No, we are not losing customers! However some of them are planning great trips which we think will be interest to others. So we wanted to celebrate your plans and in some cases, support the charity based efforts you are undertaking and help in a small way raise some awareness.

 So we've started a page dedicated to our customers, their blogs or websites, so that when you are bored and want some inspiration, ideas and suggestions, you might find something here. (Great for a coffee break too!)

We have had a lot of feedback in recent weeks about the site and the podcasts, so we thought we would share them with you.

People from all over the world are wanting to find out more about going lightweight and where they can get products and information from.

No 343 - Wales Coast Path - Official Launch

The 5th May 2012 saw the official launch of the Wales Coastal Path in Cardiff, appropriately on the sea front, a stone's throw away from Cardiff Bay.

The project links together all the various Welsh coastal paths and brings them all to the same standard as one official route, with way marking and a website to enable backpackers or walkers of all ages and ability to enjoy the 870 miles of glorious scenery. The paths also links with Offa's Dyke path, which runs along the border of Wales and England, making it 1027 miles. The only path in the world to circumnavigate a country.

This podcast features interviews with those involved in the project, the first runner to complete the route and the first official backpacker to undertake the path after the official launch. More links and information here.

No 342 - Paddle interview Jasper Winn Pt 2

Part two - Jasper continues his story and starts to fill in all the gaps about gear, equipment, cooking and his thoghts and approach to the world, both in this great trip and also life in general.

The book 'Paddle - A long way around Ireland' is a great read, something that, for once, the reader feels he could do himself. Just a guy out for a day, and then another, and then another. Until it became the stuff of legends.

Jasper describes with passion and a totally honest understanding, how work and such responsible things sometimes takes us away from living 'life'. Something we are all guilty of I'm sure.

No 341 - Paddle interview Jasper Winn Pt 1

Part one - One summer, writer and musician, Jasper Winn set himself the extraordinary task . He would kayak the whole way around Ireland - a thousand miles - camping on remote headlands and islands, carousing in bars and paddling clockwise until he got back to where he started.
